As soon as we are on the riverbanks of the Ganges, we step back in time. Varanasi's overcrowded streets, the noise, the pollution are forgotten. Hindus are singing and praying at their holy river, performing rituals, washing the sins away by taking a bath in the river. We are at one of the most mystic places on earth.

The call of the desert We explored the desert on the back of camels. Walking would have been faster! The days were hot, the nights very cold. We called our accommodation the "1000 stars hotel" - a tent at the top of a sand dune. Who would ask for more?
